Alchimia energiei sexuale

This book looks at sexual energy in Mantak Chia’s Taoist teachings. It treats energy as a flow that links people to the universe. Sexual energy is one part of this larger whole. Chia shows how to gather, hold, and direct it.

This guide gives Western readers ways to use Taoist ideas. Readers of any faith can try its exercises and meditations. Images help show how to do them. Chia covers deep rest and ways to balance one’s feelings. He also teaches readers to meditate on the universe. He explains how to turn negative energy into positive energy. He links these goals to knowing oneself and one’s place in life. He urges readers to live with care and focus less on wealth. He also urges them to be free from dependence.

Chia began to learn Taoist ways as a child. He was born in Thailand in 1944 to Chinese parents. When he was six, Buddhist monks taught him to calm his mind. He later trained in Thai boxing, Aikido, yoga, and Tai Chi. As a student in Hong Kong, he studied Taoist ways in more depth. He learned from I Yun, Meugi, Cheng Yao Lun, and Pan Yu. He also studied Western medicine and the body’s structure, or anatomy. He used these studies to explore ideas about healing energy.

These studies helped him form his Universal Tao system. He taught it across the world to tens of thousands of students. He trained over two thousand instructors and practitioners. He also set up Tao training centres in several countries. In June 1990, an international congress gave him an award. The congress dealt with Chinese medicine and Qi Gong. It named him Qi Gong Master of the Year. This edition is part of the Biblioterapia series.
