Axel Vol.3

Axel is a quiet schoolboy in Iowa who sees little reason to live. Four years ago, he could not save his brother. Guilt now shapes his days, while his family struggles with tragedy.

A stay at Hope House, a recovery centre, brings no relief. There he meets Alice, a young woman with fierce, shifting moods. They grow close, but her isolation and troubled past add to his burdens. Then Anna offers help when he feels he has nothing left. His story asks how love can help someone who resists rescue. Painful ties, strong desire and the return of the past shape his search for hope.

This young adult romance explores grief, guilt and the wish to keep living. An intimate first-person passage shows desire at odds with shame. The narrator seeks comfort in a kiss while fearing the hurt he may cause.

This is the third volume in Dama de Treflă’s Axel series. The author writes under a pen name and keeps her identity private. Her work aims to offer readers comfort through stories of strong feelings. Her author profile credits her with nine volumes.
