Description

Henrik Pettersson, known as HP, misses the danger of the Game. After fourteen months in exile, he suspects a powerful IT firm has ties to it. His search for proof puts him at risk. Meanwhile, an unknown enemy threatens his sister. The question is whether the Game lies behind both threats.

HP is 31, proud, idle, and quick to act without thought. His involvement began with an odd phone on a commuter train. He found it one Saturday after a night of partying. Messages addressed him by name and urged him to play. He agreed at once. A hidden figure set tasks that ranged from childish acts to crimes. As the stakes rose, people close to HP faced danger. His drive for fame and secrets from his family's past complicate his choices. He must face defeat or push past his limits to win.

This thriller by Anders de la Motte follows HP's continuing story. It is the second book in the Swedish trilogy Jocul. Its mix of hidden threats, crime, and a dangerous game suits readers of suspense fiction.
