Caietul meu de vacanta, Clasa I

This is a summer workbook for children who have just finished first grade. It helps them keep what they learned in Romanian language class during the school year. The book mixes review exercises with games that practise the same skills.

The topics include vowels and consonants. Children split words into syllables. They also work with letter groups such as ce, ci, ge, gi, che, chi, ghe and ghi. Other pages cover words with similar or opposite meanings. Some cover words that look the same but mean different things. There are also small-form words, called diminutives, and punctuation marks.

Children practise asking questions. They also put the scenes of a story in the right order.

The book comes with stickers and a poster. Each time a child finishes a task, they earn a sticker. They stick it on the poster to build a map of their summer adventure. The workbook belongs to a series of holiday activity books.
