Cartea ieruncilor

Marian Nazat looks back on two years of life in Romania. He writes as a journalist, drawing on news and his own past. He gives readers his own view of politics and social life.

He writes about Klaus Iohannis taking office. He covers harsh press attacks on Elena Udrea. He reflects on the deaths at Club Colectiv. He also looks at the protests that came next. He turns to the Paris terror attack and Donald Trump's election.

Nazat longs for Islaz, the place where he was born. He writes of football and the people whose paths crossed his. They include Paula Iacob and Ioan Gyuri Pascu. Anger and grief shape his bleak view of where Romania is headed.
