Crima perfecta vol. 1: Instructiuni pentru fete cuminti

Pip doubts the story her town tells about a murder. In Little Kilton, people blame Sal Singh for killing Andie Bell. Andie was a popular high school student and Sal’s girlfriend. They believe Sal then took his own life out of guilt. Five years later, the deaths still haunt this quiet British town.

Pip knew Sal as a child and starts her own inquiry. She follows small clues and uncovers secrets that clear his name. But someone wants those secrets kept, and her search threatens her life.

Holly Jackson’s mystery thriller is for young adult readers. It opens the Crima perfecta series, mixing a dark plot with humor. Scenes of Pip’s home life show her close family ties. Her birth father died in a car crash during her infancy. She sees Victor, her Nigerian stepfather, as her father. She feels the same full bond with her younger brother, Joshua. Other people’s puzzled looks do not change her sense of family.
