De mână cu Maica Domnului

This book tells the life of the Mother of God, whom Orthodox Christians call the Most Pure. It starts with her wondrous birth. It follows her through the deep grief she felt at the Cross. It ends with the mystery of her Dormition, her falling asleep.

The author is Father Pimen Vlad, an Orthodox priest. He says he has given his whole life and work to her care. He calls this the book dearest to his heart. He hopes more people will come to know her and ask for her help.

The book goes beyond what Scripture says about her. It presents icons said to work miracles. It describes the ways she has appeared to people. It also tells how she has helped, over the centuries, those who called on her in faith and hope.

The chapters mix uplifting stories, accounts of hidden miracles and words of comfort for hard times. It is a work of Orthodox Christian devotion. It suits believers who want to grow in their spiritual life and draw closer to the Mother of God.
