De ziua mamei

Elena Farago wrote these poems. Anatol Vidrascu chose them for this book. They feature a lame puppy and a crested chick. A piggy bank and a firefly also appear. Other poems mark a mother's special day. Some concern two well-behaved brothers or frost flowers. Two poems pair children's words to Santa Claus with his words to them.

The book is for children in primary school. The chosen texts fit the school curriculum's reading advice. This edition has pictures and forms part of a school reading series. The series has 100 titles. They draw on Romanian folk tales and lore. They also draw on works by major Romanian writers.
