Degețica

Degetica tells of a girl no bigger than a thimble. She must live below ground with a mole. This story adapts Hans Christian Andersen’s tale for young readers. It suits children aged five to seven who are learning to read.

This Romanian edition belongs to the series Învaț să citesc! Nivelul 0. It uses short sentences, simple words, and pictures as reading cues. Before the story, children match picture stickers to 30 words. Each part of the text comes in two forms. One uses capital letters with pictures to help new readers. The other uses upper- and lower-case letters for reading practice.
