Devil's Night: Corrupt (Book 1)

Erika Fane, called Rika, has a boyfriend with an older brother named Michael Crist. Michael is handsome and strong, and he scares her. He was a college basketball star and now plays as a pro. For years he seemed to look right past her.

Rika watched him all the same. She saw what he did and what he kept hidden. Now she is in college, and she still cannot stop watching him. At last, he has started to notice her.

Michael knows how much she fears him. She looks down when he walks in. She goes still when he comes near. Then his brother leaves to join the military. Rika is left alone with no one to guard her.

Three years ago, Rika helped send Michael's friends to prison. Now those friends are free. The worst of her fears are about to come true.

This is a dark romance by Penelope Douglas. It opens her Devil's Night series. The story stands alone and ends with no cliffhanger. It is meant for adult readers aged 18 and up. This edition is a paperback in English.
