Джек и Джилл

Jack Minot and Jenny Peck live next door to each other. The best friends spend all their time together. Their bond earns them the names Jack and Jill, after a pair from children’s rhymes and tales. They love fun and dream up all sorts of plans.

One sunny winter day, they sled down the most dangerous slope. The ride leaves them facing months in bed. Parents, friends, and neighbors help them through this hard time. Their own knack for new ideas leads to unexpected inventions.

This novel takes place in a small American town in the mid-nineteenth century. Its author, American writer Louisa May Alcott, won wide fame with Little Women.
