Hundreds of years after the God Emperor died, his empire lies in ruins. Leto’s plan sent millions of people across the known universe. Some now seek to return. New groups vie for power. Arrakis, now called Rakis, has turned to desert once more. Its sandworms are dying.

A girl named Sheeana brings old Fremen tales to life on Rakis. These tales tell of riding sandworms. She seems to fulfil a prophecy the God Emperor left. Her rise stirs strong faith across the galaxy.
