Femeia din apartamentull 11

Lo Blacklock hopes to return to her work as a journalist. An invite to a grand Swiss hotel's opening offers a chance. Its owner, the private billionaire Marcus Leidmann, could be her next interview. But finding him proves hard. One night, Lo agrees, with doubts, to visit his suite. There she meets a woman who claims to be his lover. The woman says her life is at risk. Their meeting leads to a chase across Europe. Lo must weigh what she will risk to help her. She must also decide whether this stranger deserves her trust.

Ruth Ware's thriller brings back Lo from Femeia din cabina 10. It suits readers of suspense and stories with shifting loyalties. Lo faces conflicts between motherhood, career goals, and blurred moral lines. Many chapters close with extracts from websites and other texts. These offer hints of events still to come.

Ware grew up in Sussex, on England's south coast. She worked as a waitress, bookseller, English teacher, and PR manager before writing. This edition belongs to the Fiction Connection series. Mihaela Doagă translated it from English, where its title is The Woman in Suite 11.
