Fragmente critice. Vol. 6: Ne revizuim ne revizuim…

Eugen Simion looks at Romanian writing and culture. He asks how they link to social and political life. How should critics judge works anew? What do such shifts gain, and what do they risk? He also looks at myths tied to writing. He weighs writers’ ethics in public and private life. He asks how far they can go in making compromises.

This sixth book of literary criticism suits readers drawn to these debates. Simion asks if art can stand apart from other concerns. He also explores how culture can serve as resistance. He rereads works with care to judge their worth afresh. His public and lyrical journal entries share his views on art and ethics.
