Headway 5E Elementary Student's Book with Online Practice

This English course helps adults learn at a basic level. Liz and John Soars wrote it with Paul Hancock. Its 12 units each focus on a theme. They teach grammar, words and how to use English. Each unit starts with photos and questions on its theme. Videos show what each unit will cover. The texts cover themes that learners can relate to. They also show how the language works.

The fifth edition keeps the same way of teaching. It adds fresh material, with revised texts and new topics. It also has digital tools for study. Liz and John Soars have won awards for their work.

Codes inside the book give access to 30 hours of online practice. These tasks link to lessons for study outside class. Learners can review the language or catch up on missed lessons. They can also work on all four language skills. Tests let them check their own progress.
