Йоко Оно: полная биография

This biography traces Yoko Ono’s life, starting with her hard childhood during World War II. It then turns to her early avant-garde work, which broke with past forms. It follows her into art scenes in London, Tokyo and New York. The book looks beyond her ties to The Beatles. It shows her work in art, music and activism. It also looks at her role in fashion.

Sheff met Ono and John Lennon through an interview in 1980. Just months later, someone murdered Lennon. Sheff and Ono grew close after his death. Sheff draws on their long friendship for this account. He also draws on interviews with Ono and her friends. He spoke with others close to her, too. He disputes claims that she was a schemer or fraud.
