Карандаш и Самоделкин в Стране шоколадных деревьев

Карандаш and Самоделкин have a magic school. A new teacher joins them: Professor Семён Семёнович Пыхтелкин. He teaches geography and loves to travel. He knows a great deal. The two little wizards take a trip to Africa. Their pupils and the professor go with them. They seek to learn why people call it the land of chocolate trees.

This fantasy for children joins a magic quest with facts. Валентин Постников wrote it. His father, Юрий Дружков, wrote the earlier tales about these heroes. As a child, Постников loved to hear those stories. When he grew up, he began to write new tales. These follow the little wizards on more adventures.
