Description

This kit is a set of practical materials for testing how young children speak. It helps check a child's oral language in a speech assessment. It also helps a child learn and practise basic ideas that support thinking skills. The authors are Laura Hardalau and Loredana Bejan.

The kit gives a clear, visual aid for assessing a child. It suits children aged 3 to 7. Speech therapists can use it. So can preschool teachers, primary teachers and parents.

One part of the kit looks at perceptual and motor skills. It covers the parts of the body and the times of day. It covers the days of the week and telling the time. It also covers the seasons and the months of the year. Other cards test a sense of space, colours, sizes and amounts. There are also shapes and the numbers 1 to 10.

The kit has a sheet for checking how a child pronounces sounds. Another part tests grammar. It looks at verb tenses, personal pronouns and actions. A speech therapy record sheet is included too.

This edition is in Romanian and came out in 2014.
