This book teaches basic Chinese in 20 lessons. They cover words and grammar. The aim is to help learners discuss daily life in Chinese. Readers learn to write short sentences and read short texts. The course covers core words and grammar for HSK 2.

The guide suits those new to Chinese. They can study alone or take classes. Each lesson gives a short word list and clear grammar notes. Readers use tasks to practise what they learn. Lessons give facts about Chinese and life in China, too. The book ends with answers to the tasks. It also has a small Russian–Chinese dictionary.

Марина Владиславовна Москаленко wrote the book. She heads the Chinese language department at the Institute of Eastern Countries. This paperback came out in 2023.
