Кот-призрак Андзу

Anzu lives at the Sosei Buddhist temple and has turned 32. Rather than die, the cat has become a supernatural being. He is a bakeneko, a kind of Japanese yokai. He never returned from the dead; he simply kept living.

This manga by Takashi Imashiro is a modern fairy tale. It follows Anzu’s slow, odd daily life, mixing the everyday with the spirit world. At times, the cat seems more human than the people. The manga became a film of the same name in 2024.
