Leviatanul

In Leviatanul, Thomas Hobbes asks how states form and fail. He looks at the state's supreme power. He asks how people act for others in politics. He also looks at what leads to civil war.

He studies how people think, live in groups, and learn. He looks at each person's sense of right and wrong. He also explores the links between church and state.

This book asks how power and life in groups work. It is a work of political philosophy. Hobbes wrote it as England went through deep change. These shifts touched politics, life in society, and science.
