Description
Elena Roata studies the poetry of Lucian Blaga. She asks how readers help shape what his poems mean. This work of literary criticism looks at how poets create. It also looks at the reader’s role. A full chapter explains the theory that guides this approach. It asks how a work takes form in the reader’s mind. It also asks how the work lives there.
Roata draws on the views of scholars who study Blaga. She traces how his poetry grew through its stages. She places him within his culture and his time’s literary movements. She also studies his ties to expressionism.
