Lumea animala. vol.4. Mamifere

This book covers 70 mammal species in the Republic of Moldova. It includes rodents and bats. It also covers carnivores, which eat meat, and insectivores, which eat insects. Other groups include even-toed ungulates and lagomorphs. These are hoofed mammals with even numbers of toes, and the rabbit group.

The book links their varied forms to Moldova’s place on the map. Three biogeographic zones meet there. These are zones with distinct plant and animal life.

Andrei Munteanu and Mina Lozanu wrote this guide in plain language. It suits young readers who want facts about local wildlife. The text is in Romanian, and the book has a hard cover. It is volume four in a series on Moldova’s plants and animals.
