Mica vrăjitoare

The Little Witch wants to learn her craft well. She is 127 years old, about ten in human terms. She goes to the Walpurgis Night feast with no invite. The other witches punish her for this. She must become a good witch to return next year. To them, this means she must cast evil spells. She thinks it means she should help others instead. Her kind acts make the older witches mad. Her aunt Rumpumpel seeks revenge.

Otfried Preussler wrote this fairy tale for children. This includes those who read in primary school. It explores courage, resolve, and how good can defeat evil. This edition forms part of the Arthur. Classic Yellow series. Christa Richter and Cristian Sencovici worked on the translation. They translated Die kleine Hexe from German.
