Sue Whiting’s Modele de crosetat shows how to crochet clothes, toys, and things for the home. This hands-on guide suits those who know the basics and seek more. It gives less space to theory and more to making things.

The book has two parts. The first gives 36 stitch patterns, from simple to more complex. Some give a tweed feel or form a mesh. Others use shells, waves, zigzags, or diamond borders. The second part has 15 projects with pictures. You can make toy rabbits, scarves, and a Solomon’s knot shawl. You can also make baby clothes in soft, pale shades. Other projects include a blouse with bead trim and sweaters. For the home, there are potpourri bags and cushion covers.

Each pattern has full steps and diagrams to guide you. You can follow the designs or change their shapes and colours.

The book forms part of the Lucru manual series. It comes after Invatati sa crosetati, which taught skills for those new to crochet. Both came out with the magazine Lucrul de mana. The two make up a larger book, also called Invatati sa crosetati.
