Description

In Modelul divin, Baird Spalding says all people can know the divine power within them. He draws on what Jesus taught about truth and freedom. He also draws on Jesus’ words about being one with God. In his view, Christ is God’s presence in each person. He says our thoughts can block our use of this power. A change in thought can free us from self-made limits.

The book offers spiritual teaching for readers drawn to faith and metaphysics. This field asks what is real and what lies beyond the physical world. Spalding says anyone can be one with God, as Jesus was. He links each person’s growth to the growth of humankind. Both move toward a deeper grasp of truth.

The book first came out late in Spalding’s life. It builds on his earlier work, Vietile Maestrilor. Its original title is The Last Words. His work drew the interest of those on a spiritual quest. It also drew interest in groups that explored metaphysics. This took place in the first half of the twentieth century.
