Negrissimo

Negrissimo tells of a ghostwriter who starts to rebel. The writer has written books under other people's names. Now the writer seeks to leave a secret group. Its writers make books even for authors not yet born.

Liliana Corobca's novel looks into this writer's mind. This person has always written for others. Short parts mix verse and drama to voice the revolt. The story also follows a woman's love life. She longs for change. She appears young or old, and sometimes as a robot.

The novel's first edition won two debut awards in 2003. One came from the Writers' Union of the Republic of Moldova. România literară magazine gave it the other, the Prometheus prize.
