Neil Armstrong

Neil Armstrong’s path to the Moon began at an air show. He went as a child with his father. The show sparked his lifelong love of flight. He learned to fly before he learned to drive. The book follows his time flying for the US Navy. It then traces his move to NASA. He led the first mission to land on the Moon. In 1969, he became the first person to walk there.

Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara wrote this life story for young readers. It forms part of the series Copii cu visuri îndrăznețe. The series shows how childhood dreams can lead to later feats. It spans the arts, science, invention and sport. Christophe Jacques made the book’s colour pictures. Ana Ion translated the text from English. The last section adds facts and photos about Armstrong. It covers his life as an astronaut and explorer.
