Pagini de proză și publicistică

This book collects Vladimir Belistov’s prose and work for the press. It sets his work in the light of his life. War and shifts in politics shaped that life. In his early years, he drew on Romanian culture between the wars.

The book gives context to those who read his literary work. Belistov fought in 1943–44, suffered wounds, and became a prisoner. He faced doubt and red tape when he came home. Vasile Malanețchi links these harsh times to his blocked hopes as a writer. He also notes how much Belistov knew and his skill with languages. Epigraf put out this paperback in 2020.
