Description

This novel follows Violette Toussaint. Her life has brought her deep loss and grief. She takes a job that once would have seemed absurd to her. She becomes the keeper of a cemetery.

Regular visitors to the cemetery come to know her. On cold, damp days they stop by to warm up. They drink coffee with her and talk about life. In this sad place, Violette learns something. Love for people and for life can save a person from anything. Bold and even crazy choices matter.

The book is a work of fiction about feelings that anyone can share. It shows life winning out over death. One French review praised its mix of drama and humor.
