Принцесса на горошине

A prince sets out to find a bride. He travels the world but finds no one right for him. His search hints that a far-off ideal may lie near home. Andersen’s fairy tale has sly wit and lessons about life.

Anton Lomaev made the art for this edition. He drew ideas from family walks through the parks of Peterhof. The parks have Baroque palaces from the eighteenth century. They bring to mind life at court. They also recall the princes and princesses who once walked there. That setting helped shape how he saw the tale.
