Rapid - Realul din Giulești, o iubire alb-vișinie

Dan-Silviu Boerescu tells Rapid’s story and explores its key figures. He looks at the fans’ deep bond with the club. This football history is for readers drawn to Rapid and fan culture. It looks past goals, results, and league places. It explores the shared spirit that links the team to Giulești.

The club’s anthem helps explain that bond. Victor Socaciu wrote the tune. Adrian Paunescu wrote the words. The song’s train images link it to sounds from the stands. The book asks why writers and journalists feel drawn to Rapid. It looks at the pull for poets, politicians, and artists too. Dan Grigore and Fanus Neagu share their love for the club. Radu Enescu, an essay writer, imagines Caragiale sharing that bond. In his view, the team’s comic and naive traits would draw Caragiale.

Marius Sumudica views this loyalty as both player and coach. He played for Rapid in three separate spells. He says the anthem moves him to tears. Marius Mitran looks back at Rapid’s return in 2021. The club came back to Romania’s top football tier. He stresses its many fresh starts and its fans’ lasting voice. He sets that voice against a wider mood of fear and silence.
