riki-tiki-tavi-i-drugie-skazki

Rudyard Kipling wrote the three animal tales in this book. They tell of an elephant child and a cat that walks alone. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is the subject of the third tale. Elephants and giraffes appear in the tales. So do monkeys, tigers, and other wild jungle beasts.

The book is for younger school readers and those in middle grades. Kipling won the Nobel Prize in Literature. His life began in India, where he spent much time. He knew its wild animals, culture, and customs. This knowledge shapes the tales. The book forms part of a school library series.
