Школа Семи Гномов. Годовой базовый курс. Комплект. 5+

This set helps children aged five to six get ready for school. It gives them a full year of work. Its 12 workbooks teach children to write by hand. They cover logic, speech, counting, shapes and size. Children learn early reading skills and explore time and space. They learn geography, or the study of places on Earth. Topics also include animals, nature, road safety and good habits. Children learn about the Moscow Kremlin too. The set comes with a poster, a game and a diploma.

Some books help children think, pay attention and draw conclusions. Others teach them about nature and human life. Tasks start easy and grow harder as children learn through play. The work suits children in the older kindergarten years. The course aims to help them think in an ordered way. It follows Russia’s federal rules for what schools should teach.

Any adult can lead the lessons without special training. Each workbook has a page that explains what to teach and why. The wider Seven Dwarfs series sets tasks for each age. It uses colours and dwarfs as guides. Its seven characters reflect children at each stage of growth. This level uses orange and a dwarf named Dolka.
