Șoarecele și pisica

A cat leaves a small mouse without his tail. To get it back, he must bring the cat milk. The task turns out to be harder than he expects. Joseph Jacobs collected and adapted this English folk tale.

This early reader belongs to the Învăț să citesc! Nivelul 0 series. It is for children aged five to seven who are learning to read. This includes children in their last preschool year or starting preparatory class.

Before reading the story, children work through 30 words in capitals. They match each word with a picture sticker from the sheet. This playful task builds word knowledge to help them read the tale. Each passage then appears in two forms. One uses capitals and picture cues for those just starting. The other uses upper- and lowercase print for practice in reading fluently. The word-and-picture tasks also support early reading and writing skills.
