Description
Teatru is a book of plays by Mario Vargas Llosa. The text is in Romanian, for readers of plays. The text that comes with the book recalls his first theatre visit. He was seven or eight, in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
He went to the Achá theatre with his mother and grandparents. The live actors held his gaze, though he understood little. When a man on stage slapped a woman, he cried. His mother then took him outside. This memory shows how he first felt about theatre. Curtea Veche brought out this paperback in 2021. It has 424 pages.
