Теория невероятностей (2 в 1)

Matvey Dobrovolsky has had a bad Monday. The internet goes down, and school keeps him after lessons. Then his mother says a girl will come to live with them. That evening, three thugs chase him to steal his phone. He takes a nearly empty bus to the city's edge. Hiding in an old concrete pipe, he enters another world.

In this world, Matvey does not exist. A girl named Miloslava has taken his place. The seventh-grader must find his way back, with no clear help. Teachers, classmates and parents seem unlikely to believe his story. He has no friends to turn to, either. His best hope may be Venya Vatrushkin, who knows science fiction and often gets into trouble.

Victoria Lederman's science fiction tale blends a school story with travel between worlds. It pairs adventure with gentle lessons for young readers. Her books have found readers among primary and middle school children.
