Ubik

Glen Runciter's death sets off a mission. The dead guide the living on this mission. Time slips and runs backward. These shifts cast doubt on what is real. The being called Ubik appears as an image of God. This God knows all and has power over all.

Philip K. Dick wrote this science fiction novel. It blends humour with questions about life and death. It asks how people see what is real. It suits readers who like worlds that shift and truths in doubt. Readers can also see it as a tale about ads. In this view, ads shape what people need and believe.

The novel first came out in 1969. Nemira brought out this Romanian paperback in 2015. Stefan Ghidoveanu translated it. It has 280 pages.
