Uluitorul Broccoli Boy

Rory Rooney likes to plan for trouble and reads a survival guide. Yet nothing prepares him for the day his skin turns green. He ends up in a hospital room, far from home. His doctors cannot explain the change, and Rory has questions. Could genes, a virus, or something he ate explain it?

Then Rory starts to think he might be a superhero. He wonders whether others might have turned green too. He wants to get past the hospital’s security codes. Beyond them, he hopes to learn what his powers might be.

Frank Cottrell Boyce’s story for young readers mixes a medical mystery with Rory’s hopes of becoming Broccoli Boy.
