В объятиях вендиго

Teachers and students vanish from a college. It stands in a small town in the northern US. Their bodies turn up later. The wounds seem to come from wild animal attacks. Cara Lawton is in her second year at college. She thinks a killer caused the deaths. She suspects Lester North, a very tall new student. He often goes missing and turns up at crime scenes.

Lester claims a wendigo stalks the college. This beast eats flesh and comes from Native American lore. Cara and her friends doubt his story at first. Then they face the beast themselves. They learn that only another monster can stop it.

This mystery deals with forces beyond the natural world. It draws on American folklore, which includes Algonquin myths. The book is for fans of the series Supernatural. It also explores the risks of loving a monster. The wendigo’s curse puts both body and human soul at risk.
