Will (rom)

Will Smith tells his life story, starting in West Philadelphia. He traces his rise to rap fame and Hollywood success. He also looks at the strain that came with it. His family worked in show business, as he did. He thought this meant they shared his goals. Yet those close to him felt trapped by his demands.

This memoir mixes life stories, humour and thoughts on growth. It is for readers who seek to grasp their feelings. It also looks at how to manage those feelings. Smith asks what drive can do and where it fails. He asks how success can fit with joy and close bonds. Some habits help at first but hold us back later.

Mark Manson helped Smith write the book. Smith acts, produces and makes music. His work spans film, TV and music. He has earned two Academy Award nominations. He has won Grammy and NAACP awards too. He set records with eight hit films in a row. Each earned more than $100 million. His albums have earned more than one platinum award.

He and his wife founded the Will & Jada Smith Family Foundation. It backs work to help people learn and gain power. It also backs health, well-being and sustainability—work that can last.

Manson writes bestselling books and runs a site about growth. His books have sold over twelve million copies. They span more than fifty languages. His site draws over two million readers each month. It has 500,000 subscribers. Florin Tudose translated this edition. It forms part of the LIFESTYLE series.
