Жизнь и удивительные приключения морехода Робинзона Крузо

Daniel Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe tells of a man wrecked at sea. He lives on an island where no one else lives. His stay lasts twenty-eight years, two months and nineteen days. This tale of adventure is for young readers. It looks at courage and the work needed to stay alive. It asks if one should return to sea after disaster.

Crusoe makes clothes from goatskins and builds his own umbrella. He works the soil, though he has no spade. He builds a boat with an axe as his sole tool. His work turns the wild island into a lush garden.

This edition has art by Igor Ilyinsky on coated paper. His grasp of history and its details shapes his art. He also drew art for adventure works by Mayne Reid and Anatoly Rybakov. These works also include those by Fenimore Cooper and the Strugatsky brothers.
