Good to know
Which English book should a beginner pick?
Start with graded readers that print their level (A1–B2) on the cover, and with children's or young adult books written in plain language. Once a story hooks you, move on to contemporary novels; nineteenth-century classics use older English and are harder going.
How do I know it's the English edition, not a translation?
Some shops list a translation's original language as its language, so this page gathers books by the language of their title and description, not the shop's label. A Romanian or Russian translation of the same book has its own page under the translated title, with its own prices.
