Good to know
Which psychology book should I start with?
For an easy start, The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman and Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl need no background. If you're curious how we get persuaded, take Influence by Robert Cialdini. Freud and Jung are denser, so leave them for later.
How is this different from personal development?
Psychology books explain how the mind works, often from research or clinical practice, while personal development starts from a goal and offers concrete steps. Shops often put them on the same shelf, so some titles appear in both collections. If you're going through a hard time, a book doesn't replace a psychologist.
