Clinical internships in ophthalmology. A guide for students

We wrote this book out of the desire to offer 4th year students at the Faculty of Medicine, a support for preparing for the practical exam in ophthalmology. The ophthalmology module being short, practical skills must be formed quickly. The design of the book fits it into the busy schedule of medical students. Essential practical topics are covered: measuring visual acuity, assessing the visual field by the confrontation method, pupillary reflexes and the pupillary red reflex, assessing chromatic perception, examining eye movements and diagnosing strabismus, digital tonometry, ophthalmological examination in daylight and flashlight, direct ophthalmoscopy and evaluating a normal/pathological optic disc, as well as the basic elements for identifying diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy.
