David Gilmour: Luck and Strange - Studio/Live

It became Gilmour's third no. 1 album in the UK charts.The album features keyboards recorded in 2007 by Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright who died in 2008. Polly Samson wrote most of the lyrics to the songs and the couple's children contributed additional vocals, lyrics an instrumentation. Samson's photographs chart the progression of the creation of the album from conception to recording and from release to live performance. Intimate behind-the-scenes photos sit alongside poignant, introspective photos and dramatic stage performances. She comments that the lyrics address the subjects of mortality and ageing.
