This book marks 30 years of Paralela 45. Each text takes the number 30 as its starting point. The themes include money, time, and offers of marriage. They also span cars and bad luck. The number turns up in street and tram numbers. It also marks a date that cannot exist: 30 February. These texts probe links between people, work, and culture.

Diana Iepure brings together work by many writers. The book is for readers of Romanian literature. Daniel Pennac and Dumitru Crudu are among the writers. So are Octavian Soviany and Lidija Dimkovska. The book forms part of the Antologii series.

Dimkovska recalls when she first came to Pitești. The press began days later, on 28 November 1994. She came to learn Romanian for a year. She and the press found their first Romanian home there. She lived among Romanian students and those from abroad. This shaped how she saw life across cultures. She links this to the press’s work with authors. They, too, come from Romania and abroad.
