Tot binele și tot răul

Reina Gené’s 17-year-old son tries to take his own life. This turns her life upside down. Snow traps her at Henri Coandă Airport in Bucharest. She needs to get back to Barcelona but cannot leave. Her mobile phone is her only link to home.

Reina is a psychologist who works in many countries. She is driven and takes a practical view of life. Yet this crisis shows how easily she can be hurt. She must face a past she thought she had buried. Her choices raise doubts about right and wrong. How far will she go to protect her son?

Care Santos’s novel is set in the present day. It shows how family ties can fray. It looks at cheating, loneliness and life’s rush through a woman’s eyes. Being far from loved ones makes Reina feel more afraid and helpless. This edition forms part of the Raftul Denisei series. Jana Balacciu Matei translated it.
