N.P. B.Yoshimoto

N.P. is a short novel by the Japanese writer Banana Yoshimoto. This is a Romanian translation. It tells of a book that seems to bring death to the people who try to translate it. Each of these translators chooses to die.

The story unfolds in a world marked by incest and love between women. Love and faith also run through it. A few voices talk about life and about passing out of it.

The publisher calls it a feng shui novel. The prose is simple and poetic. The mood is quiet and unsettling, like sitting in a nearly bare room and listening to two or three people talk. The book appears in the publisher's series of contemporary fiction.
