Oameni anxiosi

A bank robber flees the police and enters a flat. Buyers are there to view it at the time. The robber has a gun and takes seven would-be buyers hostage. They include two tough property dealers and a lesbian couple. A very rich woman has thoughts of suicide. One guest wears a rabbit suit to disrupt viewings.

Fredrik Backman’s novel blends a crime puzzle with tales of private pain. The hostages and the robber start to share their fears and woes. Once the hostages leave, the police rush in. They find no robber. Those who were there give accounts that baffle the police. The police struggle to grasp what took place. The book suits readers who like troubled people and puzzling plots.
